Rachel Jones,(owner/artistic director) is a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actor’s Equity Association.
She has acted professionally in film, theatre, television, commercials and has toured the U.S. and Canada performing in the Broadway National Tour of M. Butterfly.
Her film work includes Fresh Horses with Ben Stiller and Dracula’s Widow directed by Christopher Coppola. She has taught acting classes for the past sixteen years in Northern Westchester for Howard Meyer’s Acting Program.She has also taught at Greenwich Academy, the Connecticut Conservatory for the Performing Arts and Northern Westchester Center for the Arts.
Ms. Jones performs and directs with the Axial Theatre, a company based in Westchester County, devoted to the collaborative development and production of new work as well established plays.
Most recently, she performed as Irina Arkadina in The Seagull by Anton Chekhov.
As a teacher, she believes in an eclectic approach drawing on the great teachings of Sanford Meisner, and Uta Hagen. She has been trained by the late Greg Zittel, who assisted Sanford Meisner as a teacher for many years. Ms. Jones also has developed her own methodologies, working with metaphor, and back story character improvisation.
She maintains a private practice coaching actors for individual monologue work, professional audition preparation and academic conservatory auditions.
